The start of Halloween and
beginning with of one of the origins of Doom Metal, in a song which has
captivated me and shows what a Heavy Metal song should be. Not only are the
lyrics evocative but this is heavy without need of death grunts, sung with
clear vocals by Johan Längqvist, and being extreme not in noise and chaotic
guitar parts, but by going back to the originators of Heavy Metal, Black Sabbath, and making their riffs
even deeper and sluggish. Finally hearing a song by Candlemass was quite a revelation.
